Common types of portrait photography – Candid, Posed, Formal, Couple, Environmental, Sporting, Children, Group, Creative

Candid – un-posed and unplanned photo

Posed – effectively planned. Must be communication between camera and model. Also body language

Formal – you plan everything, hair, makeup, location, props, mood.

Couple – relationship between two people.

Small Group – common bond between people of a small group.

Environmental – People in their own territory. Also a story telling photograph.

Self Evaluation

I took portraits of my classmates who did different poses each time. I could improve by making the photographs less blurry by focussing on the subject.
